The Partnership Between Twin Warriors Golf Club & NB3

The 3rd Annual NB3 Matchplay event is sponsored by the Santa Ana Casino Resort. Their support has allowed us to showcase the beauty the Pueblo has to offer and highlight all the tribe is doing. These teachings to the public are reflective of how the Santa Ana Pueblo community operates, with the overarching theme of always putting everything back into the community.

The dinner is at the Santa Ana Star Casino & Resort (5 Min. Drive). Teams will stay in uniform for dinner. Sponsor pictures will be taken.

The host hotel for the event is the Santa Ana Star Resort! The nightly room rate we have reserved is $149/night. The cutoff date to reserve your room within our block is September 5th.

The NB3 Matchplay at Twin Warriors format will be a round robin match play. Participating teams are listed below:

Men's Teams: 

- NC State

- University of New Mexico

- New Mexico State University

- University of Houston

Women's Teams: 

- NC State

- University of New Mexico

- New Mexico State University

- The University of Oklahoma

Each team will play 36-holes on the first day and conclude with 18-holes on the final day. 

The 2026 NB3 Matchplay will be broadcasted Live ON GOLF CHANNEL. The coverage will begin at 5:30pm EST on September 29th & 4:30 pm EST on the 30th on Golf Channel.

 

Winners will include:

-Men's team champion

-Women's team champion

 

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27th

Coaches and Players will be welcomed by the Event Committee in the VIP Room at the Santa Ana Star Resort.

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 28th

Coaches Lunch hosted by the Junior Golf Hub & Notah Begay III @ 11:30am

Shotgun practice round at 1:00pm - 6:00pm all players together from each team.  Teams will be in fivesomes for the practice rounds. 

Player Dinner hosted by: Notah Begay III @ 6:30pm - 8:30pm at the host hotel


TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 29th - 36 holes

Morning Start:

Shotgun Matchplay starts in twosomes @ 7:20 am round robin format

 

Afternoon: 

Single Tee Matchplay starts in foursomes @ 12:00pm round robin format

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30th - 18-Holes:

Start times are approximately 11:00 AM Single or double tee will be determined closer to the event. Any match that does not conclude on Tuesday will be completed on Wed am at 8:30 am. 

 

How do the points work and what about ties, how they determined?

  • 1 pt for winning your match - ½ pt when split – 0 pts for losing the match. In the event of a tie at the conclusion each coach will select one of their players to compete in a sudden death playoff

 

If a team only puts out 4 players, for example what happens?  

  • They forfeit that match.  Teams are allowed to bring an additional player to the event if they are needed to sub in. There will be no competition of any kind for those extra players that may travel with the teams.

For teams arriving into ABQ airport, we have found a service that can assist with transportation logistics. Their will also offer the option of shuttle service to and from the airport as well as daily transportation to hotel and golf course in their 14 or 28 passenger vans.

This service is not just for transportation to and from the airport. They can accommodate your needs to and from the golf course and anywhere else you would like to go.

Pricing to and from the airport: $40/person

Pricing from the hotel to the golf course: $50/day
